On June 6, Alliant Energy executives and team members were joined by construction partners, community leaders, neighbors and participating landowners to celebrate the start of panel installation at the 50 MW Beaver Dam Solar Project site. The Beaver Dam Solar Project, located just east of Beaver Dam in Dodge County, Wisconsin, is part of Alliant Energy’s Clean Power Plan, a strategic roadmap to cost-effectively accelerate renewable energy development and reduce carbon emissions.
Construction on this site is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
In total, Alliant Energy’s clean energy project includes the development of 12 utility-scale solar projects in Wisconsin that will provide about 1,100 MW of power once operational. Three projects with a total capacity of 250 MW were commissioned by the end of 2022, and the remaining nine are currently under construction.
